What We Learnt From Productivity Forum 2024
24th September 24
On 12th September, our exclusive event, Productivity Forum, returned for its ninth year.
Taking place at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham, Productivity Forum united 100 operations, productivity and workload planning experts, and acted as a “safe space” for them to discuss and share their experiences of how they are tackling today’s business challenges. It also included insightful talks from our very own Co-Founders, Simon and Sue Hedaux, ReThink’s Head of Data Insights, James Bolle, as well as guest speakers Diane Wehrle, Footfall Insights Specialist, and Graham Wilson, Change Expert.
Key takeaways
It’s always interesting to reflect on the topics that were discussed. A few of the common themes included;
- Data rich, intelligence poor – we have a huge amount of information available to us, but are we able to make the most of it?
- Inconvenient truths – these are opportunities that might be hard for organisations to tackle without a helpful nudge from work study results
- Speed up by slowing down – landing change successfully requires time spent engaging teams. Slowing down to communicate more before roll-out delivers the best results
- The impact of AI on business operations and productivity
- Data predictions for the next business quarter and 2025
- Leadership and how to land productive change
Feedback
We are delighted that this year’s event was another success and the feedback we received from attendees has been incredible.
- “Really great day – a great way to engage and share ideas and challenges. Very open and extremely engaging”
- “Enjoyed the stalls this year – was interesting to have 1-to-1 chats”
- “All good. Really thoughtful to include a session on change. Enjoyed all sessions and plenty of time for discussion, networking and engagement with like-minded professionals”
Speaking of the event, Simon said, “It’s great that people give up their time to attend each year. Everyone in the room is passionate about the productivity of their organisation and delivering even more for their customers. It’s good to see so many people finding common ground and sharing experiences of facing similar challenges.”
Weren’t able to make it this year? Don’t worry because Simon, Sue and James have reflected on the event in our latest podcast, sharing further insights and takeaways.
Productivity Forum 2024 was such a success that the date for next year’s event has already been announced. Be sure to save the date – Thursday 11th September 2025.
