Best Business Advice Tips From Our Productivity Podcast
11th June 24
Our business productivity podcast has been going strong since our very first episode was released on 2nd May 2020.
In that time, we have been very fortunate to feature many industry leaders who provide insight and advice on how to improve business operations.
We’ve gone back through the archives to find some of the best business advice tips we’ve heard during this time. Here are just some of our favourites.
Amanda Simms
“I think the best piece of business advice I’ve been given over the years is you don’t have to answer everything immediately.”

Steve Leach
“I have two pieces of advice. The first one would be, keep calm and carry on. The second one would be really making sure that you prioritise the true scale and impact. When you’re in any retail business, it’s very easy to get distracted by a multitude of things but you always need to go after the things that are going to have that big scale and impact. It’s very easy to lose that focus – so always go after the two or three things that are going to have the biggest commercial and personal benefit.”

Graham Wilson
“For me, it’s about being yourself. As a leader, the more you are present, the more you’re yourself, the more impact you’re going to have. I certainly spent my early years trying to be someone I wasn’t, and that just takes energy. When you start to be yourself and play to your strengths, suddenly you realise you can’t be brilliant at everything. You outsource the stuff you can’t do to other people who are good at it, and you do the stuff you’re good at. As soon as you start playing to your strengths and being yourself, that’s when it really happens and being really clear about linking what you do to your real purpose – understanding who you are, why you do what you do, what you do, and how you do it.”
