Job purpose

The Insights Analyst will be part of the ReThink team and will be responsible for analysing a wide range of data to help inform client feedback and business strategies.

They will ensure that internal briefs are translated into analytical projects. Furthermore, they will be responsible for ensuring the analysis is relevant for their specific client projects.

They will be comfortable using a wide range of analytical tools to help with their analysis. The individual will be responsible for providing quantitative and qualitative analysis and insight on the projects.

As such, they need to be comfortable working on their own analytics projects and also be able to work with other ReThink team members and external clients on larger, more complex projects.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Work closely with ReThink team members to translate client projects into analytical projects (to include refining the initial brief and asking the ‘right questions’, working through potential hypotheses and storyboarding the output)
  • Conduct analysis using in-house analytics tools, and be comfortable analysing a range of social and business data
  • Building and testing basic queries on in-house social and search data tools
  • Maintaining and building dashboards for internal and external customers using internal visualisation tools
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis and insight to inform business strategy
  • Synthesising data and analysis into impactful, action-orientated reports for clients
  • Able to communicate the key findings and insight to senior stakeholders and peers both conversationally and informal presentation style
  • Monitor progress of deliverables and actively work on complex projects – primary responsibility will involve a high degree of communication with internal virtual Rehink team members
  • Maintain knowledge of previous analysis to avoid duplication and to share learnings from relevant past projects
  • Arrange a follow-up meeting with customers after they have received their analysis to ensure that it has been helpful and document any scope for improvements to the service


Qualifications include:

  • 3 A levels with a minimum of 2 at Grade C or above
  • A curious mind-set and a desire to capture and interrogate data
  • An analytical role and providing insight and recommendation based on analysis
  • Using analytical tools
  • Some data modelling or query-building experience
  • “Storytelling” in a corporate context, and crafting clear, compelling messaging using Powerpoint
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders
  • Must be self-motivated, flexible, capable of independent working, including time away from home
  • Experience of working in retail or other customer-facing environment preferred
  • Full UK driving license

Working conditions

The role is home-based with time on-site with the client

Own transport must be provided for UK travel and expenses will be covered

Some projects may require flexible working to meet the needs of the project including some weekends and evenings

A laptop and screen will be provided, along wit h any software required
